Steve grew up in a Christian home here in Tucson, trusting Christ at about six years old. After graduating from Rincon High School and the University of Arizona, he adopted Colossians 3:23-24 as a life verse:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
Most of his working career has been in the medical devices industry. He is blessed by his family—his wife Judy (married since December 1977) and two adult children, Christine and Andrew. The Murrays have attended Saguaro Canyon regularly since April 2015. They enjoy participating in community groups at Saguaro Canyon and have also volunteered in the worship ministry. In years past (many in Colorado), Steve has been involved in teaching parenting classes and biblical conflict resolution.
